Nahhas to LBCI: Syndical Committee’s response more advanced than Economic Committees

Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas told LBCI TV station that the Economic Committees and the Syndical Coordinating Committee responded to the proposal of the Price Index Committee on the issue of wage raise.

“Although the Syndical Coordinating Committee presented a response that is far more advanced than that of the Economic Committees, an atmosphere of understanding is prevailing over talks,” Nahhas said.

Nahhas stressed that he asked the parties to submit a written reply to avoid starting from square one, adding that the decision taken by the cabinet does not violate laws and will be retained. “I hope the picture will get clearer during the next week”, Nahhas said.
