Rai’s visit to Tripoli postponed at the request of Mufti Shaar

The Information Department of the Maronite Archdiocese of Tripoli announced Saturday that Patriarch Beshara Rai’s visit to Tripoli, which was scheduled to take place on November 12, will be postponed until an undetermined date.

The Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Malek Shaar, had earlier requested that Rai’s visit be adjourned for he will be participating in the pilgrimage on the scheduled date.
Maronite Archbishop of Tripoli Georges Abou Jaoude conveyed Mufti Shaar’s regards to Rai who complied with the Mufti’s request.

Nevertheless, Rai is still expected to pay a visit to the southern region of El-Koura on November 13.
