Lebanese President awards Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari National Cedar medal

Joseph Aoun awarded Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari the National Order of the Cedar, rank of Grand Officer, in recognition of his diplomatic service and role in strengthening ties between the two countries.

Aoun praised Bukhari's efforts during his tenure in Lebanon, saying they contributed to enhancing and developing the fraternal relationship between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors.

The Lebanese president also wished the ambassador success in his future duties.

For his part, Bukhari thanked Aoun for awarding him the medal and expressed appreciation for the support he received during his time in Lebanon.

The ambassador also voiced hope that Lebanon would regain its prominent role and influence in the region, and that its people would enjoy security, stability, and prosperity, describing the country as a destination and home for its friends and Arab brothers.
