Speaker Berri meets French envoy and World Bank official, discusses Lebanon situation and ceasefire violations

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met at his residence in Ain el-Tineh with French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro, discussing developments in Lebanon and recent political and field-level updates in light of Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon and violations of the ceasefire agreement, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.

Berri also received Jean-Christophe Carret, the World Bank’s Regional Director for the Middle East (Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria), in a farewell visit marking the end of his tenure.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the general situation and World Bank programs in Lebanon.
