Aswad to LBCI: Resetting accounts is the result of embezzlement

Change and Reform bloc MP Ziad Aswad called for reestablishing financial balance in Lebanon, drafting the budget in line with legal restrictions and avoiding randomly tossing accusations.

Aswad told Nharkom Said TV show that the most recent documents submitted by Future movement are consistent with any of the official minutes auditing into public finances. “Is it right to transfer assets to the Central Bank?” Aswad wondered.

Aswad stressed that financial trouble emerged in 1993 and added that resetting the accounts was the result of embezzling money and sneaking documents.
