Berri meets with Ambassador Asiri, calls for promoting peaceful discourse

Visitors of House Speaker Nabih Berri said on Wednesday that the latter praised the efforts exerted in order to maintain Lebanon's stability and called for supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces.

During the Wednesday periodic meeting, Berri highlighted the importance of peaceful political discourse away from debates and controversies "since they leave negative repercussions on the country," he said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Berri met with the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Asiri at his residence in Ain el-Tineh and discussed with him the latest local and regional developments.
