Saudi Arabia calls on its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Asiri stressed on Saturday that all Saudi nationals in Lebanon should return to Saudi Arabia.

This as Gulf Arab countries issued a travel warning for Lebanon on Wednesday, telling their citizens to avoid what is a popular tourist destination for the region after a spillover of violence from neighboring Syria.

In this regard, Asiri told the Saudi newspaper "al sharq" that the embassy is holding contacts with Saudi nationals in Lebanon, adding that delegates are working round the clock to respond to any call for help.
