Former Venezuelan Beauty Queen dies for her country!

Carmona suffered a gunshot wound to the head as a result of the anti-government protests held Feb. 18, according to several media reports. The light-haired and peachy skin model was in Valencia, the capital city of the State of Carabobo and the third largest city in Venezuela, when the tragedy happened.

Tuesday's demonstration was part of a rally outside the imprisoned protest leader Leopoldo Lopez, a Harvard-educated economist who has spearheaded three weeks of demonstrations against President Nicolas Maduro's government.

 Who was Genesis Carmona?

Genesis Carmona was famous in her country for being a beauty queen. She was crowned Miss Turismo Carabobo last year at the age of 21. She competed for the title of Miss Turismo Venezuela among 25 other gorgeous women. Prior to owning the promising 2013 title, Carmona was known for being an uprising model in Venezuela.

The 5 feet and 8 and a half inch doll with hazel eyes strutted many catwalks including Venezuela In Moda and Fashion Week Valencia. She also modeled for a list of reputed designers such as Eduardo Kano, Olga Bolaños, Eduardo Macero and Franco Montoro. Carmona ran for Miss Carabobo in the 2010 Miss Venezuela pageant and qualified as fourth runner up.
