So Who Is George Clooney's Wife-To-Be? A Closer Look At Amal Alamuddin

Although George Clooney vowed never to remarry following his divorce from actress Talia Balsam in 1989, it seems Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor has now changed his mind.

Amal Alamuddine, who may one day become Mrs. Clooney appears to have changed the famous actor’s mind and why not? She’s beautiful, intelligent and seems to have been able to push all the right buttons, but what do we really know about this oriental beauty?

Here are things ten you need to know about Ms Alamuddine.

Lebanese:
- Alamuddin was born to a wealthy and distinguished Lebanese family in Beirut,

Intelligent:
-She graduated from Oxford University and New York’s University’s School of Law—invited to become barrister in 2010.

-She is fluent in three languages - English, French and Arabic.

-She was chosen as London’s hottest barrister by a UK legal blog which described her as “both breathtakingly beautiful and formidably successful.”

-Before deleting her Twitter account, she had 1800 followers, with Ashton Kutcher among them.

Achieved:
- She works for the UK firm Doughty Street and is specialized in international law, human rights, extradition, and criminal law.

- She is the King of Bahrain's legal adviser and was once an adviser to former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan.

- WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was among her clients, she represented him in his fight against extradition to Sweden.

- Amal's mother, Baria Alamuddin, is an award-winning journalist. She is the foreign editor of the Lebanese newspaper Al Hayat and makes appearances as a Middle Eastern correspondent on US and British news channels.

Hard to Get:
- It was unclear how the couple met. Amal reportedly declined Clooney’s request for dinner twice, before accepting the third time.

So it appears that Ms Alamuddine is some sort of a super woman, but then again many Lebanese women are.

And while we do realize that coupling with Hollywood actors and fending off all that comes with that extravagant lifestyle is a great challenge, we do hope that the duo will survive and thrive in the happiest of terms.
