Massive Attack send out message of support to Gaza during Dublin concert

Award-winning band and long-time political activists Massive Attack, sent out messages of support to Gaza while performing at Marlay Park, Dublin as part of the Longitude Festival last weekend, the Independent reported.

A message lit up behind the band while performing ‘Battlebox’, reading: “Gaza has been occupied or under restrictions since 1948.”

In another message, the group displayed the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza, while presenting “Unfinished Sympathy,” triggering a wave of huge applause from the crowd.

At least 700 Palestinians – most of whom were civilians – have died in the two-week offensive waged by Israel on the narrow coastal enclave.

It is worth noting that Massive Attack will be performing in Lebanon as part of the Byblos Festival on July 29, 2014.
