Less Than 5 Hours of Sleep Will Give You False Memories!

Did you know that sleeping for less than 5 hours wears down your body in so many ways? Not only does it worsen cognitive functions and slow down reaction time but  it also makes learning more difficult!

Recent studies in Psychological Science find that sleep deprivation is linked to false memories.

They tested 193 subjects, and found that people who got 5 or fewer hours of sleep for just one night were more likely to say they’d seen a news video when they actually never did!

That’s probably because sleep deprivation leads to problems encoding new information.

So make sure you have a minimum sleep of 5 hours per day in order to maintain good cognitive functioning.
