Amal Alamuddin And Georges Clooney Tie The Knot In Venice

George Clooney and British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin wed in a lavish twilight ceremony at Venice's Aman Canal Grande Hotel. The pair had been engaged since April.

Looking ravishing, the 53-year-old arrived at the venue in a water-taxi with family, including his father, news broadcaster Nick Clooney.

Hundreds of photographers gathered outside the venue, hoping to catch a glimpse of the well guarded ceremony, but only managed to snap a few pictures of the celebrity guests ... No picture of the bride!

At sunset in Venice on Saturday, guests and the groom began departing the famed Belmond Hotel Cipriani. The guests included Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Bono, Andrea Bocelli, singer Lana Del Rey and countless others!

This is the first marriage for attorney and activist Alamuddin and the second for Clooney, who was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds left their wedding night suite at the Aman Hotel in Venice, and emerged for the first time in public as a married couple, waving to fans and onlookers as they boarded a taxi boat, called the Amore.

The British barrister looked gorgeous in a long-sleeved white floral dress with a voluminous skirt.

We are still hoping for the wedding pictures to emerge somewhere... Fingers crossed!
