[VIDEO] Moving Sculpture Of Man And Woman Symbolizes Tragic Love Story

“Man and Woman” is an 8 meter tall moving steel sculpture by Georgian sculptor Tamara Kvesitadze.

The two figures, located in the seaside city of Batumi, Georgia, represent a Muslim boy, Ali, and a Georgian princess, Nino, from a famous 1937 novel that ends by the separation of the two lovers.

Every day at 7 Pm, the statues begin to move and then merge for a short embrace, before leaving each other behind.

It is worth noting that the statue was designed in 2007 but only installed in 2010 and has since then been known as “Ali and Nino”.
