A caller got a frosty reception when he phoned the police to complain about a noisy ice cream van outside his house.
The man dialed the non-emergency 101 line saying, “The chimes are far too loud, they go right through the building.”
The operator then advises the man that he needs to call his local council because it is an environmental health issue.
West Midlands Police tweeted out a mocking video with cartoon graphics of the bizarre call’s recording.
“The chimes from the ice cream van too loud? That’s not appropriate to call 101 about!” the police captioned the footage.
