Scuffles flare between vendors in Cairo's Tahrir
Scuffles flared on Tuesday between dozens of street vendors who have been serving protesters camped out in Cairo's Tahrir Square to demand an end to military rule in Egypt, witnesses said.   

The flare up prompted medics working in the square to step in to stop the scuffles, they said. Some of those involved in the brawl wielded sticks and vendors' stalls were damaged.    Protesters have been camped in the square since Nov. 18.   

For several days last week, protesters clashed with police in nearby streets and police on more than one occasion charged the square to try to clear it.   

Tuesday was the second day of voting in Egypt's first parliamentary election since Hosni Mubarak was ousted in February.
