Israel to Accept Report on Gaza Flotilla with Reservations

A high-level Israeli official told AFP that his country accepts the U.N. report on Israel’s attack against the “Freedom flotilla” that was sailing to Gaza in 2010 in contravention of the Israeli imposed embargo.

“The report recognizes the legality of the maritime blockade imposed by Israel on Gaza strip”, the official added on condition of anonymity.

The U.N. had issued a report on violence aboard a Gaza-bound protest flotilla. The fatalities included eight Turkish nationals and one Turkish-American activist.
