Khaddam calls for international military intervention in Syria

The former Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam who has taken refuge in France, urged the international community towards a military intervention in Syria to halt the “massacres” committed by the “war machine” of Assad’s regime.    

During a press conference in Paris, Khaddam said that the Syrian people will not stay silent for violence itself will make them use weapons to defend themselves.    

Khaddam said that the events in the country have made Syrian President Bashar Assad lose his mind, estimating that his fate will be similar to that of the Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi.
