Women in the Arab World do not enjoy their basic rights like elsewhere in the world, and sometimes their only crime is that they demanded freedom and social justice.
In Syria, two years have passed since the abduction of lawyer, human rights activist and head of the Violations Documentation Centre in Syria Razan Zaitouneh, along with her team.
Even in Lebanon, a country that considers itself a democratic nation, the number of women arrested during recent demonstrations held by the civil society groups reached 11. Two of them were referred to the Military Court on charged of forming riot groups.
Many others are meeting the same fate around the Arab World, while the judicial system does not lift a finger.
