REPORT: Turkish presidency says Erdogan helps stop man from suicide attempt
The office of President Tayyip Erdogan said the Turkish leader helped stop a man from jumping off the Bosphorus Bridge on Friday (December 25).

Video released by the presidential office showed members of Erdogan's security team persuading the man from walking off the ledge of the bridge that links Turkey's European side with the Asian side.

The man was then led to a car where Erdogan was on board holding a mobile phone to his ear. Local media reported Erdogan spoke to the man who was believed to be suffering from personal problems.

After a brief exchange, the man was led away and Erdogan and his convoy drove off.
