Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman on sending fuel to Lebanon: We will do it again whenever requested by any country
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Monday that sending fuel shipments to Iran’s clients is "a sovereign matter that is related to Iran’s right to sell its oil and fuel to any state that buys it."

“Therefore the US or any other country is not in a position to be above the law and prevent legitimate trade," he said in reference to Iran sending fuel shipment to Lebanon.

He also noted that Iran is “very serious when it comes to legitimate foreign trade,” adding that such a trade is “one of the axioms of international law.”

“We sold fuel to Lebanon from this point of view and we will do it again whenever requested by any country,” the Iranian official added.

Khatibzadeh stressed that the Lebanese people is “wealthy and does not need aid," adding that what the Lebanese people only needs “is for some countries to stop politicizing issues and let the Lebanese take care of their needs themselves.”
