China-Russia all-round cooperation shows huge political and opportunity advantages: Xi-[REPORT]

The all-round pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia has demonstrated huge political and opportunity advantages, said President Xi Jinping on Wednesday during his virtual meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"The bilateral trade in the first three quarters of 2021 topped 100 billion U.S. dollars for the first time. For the whole year, the bilateral trade is expected to reach an all-time high." said President Xi.

"The China-Russia Year of Scientific and Technological Innovation has concluded, with a number of major strategic projects implemented. The two countries have made smooth progress in enhancing synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union. The two countries have acted as responsible big powers, uniting the international community in combating the COVID-19 pandemic and explaining the right concepts of democracy and human rights, becoming the mainstay in upholding multilateralism and in safeguarding international equity and justice," President Xi said.
