Nigerian airlines to halt domestic flights over jet fuel hikes

Nigerian airlines will suspend domestic flights starting Monday in protest of rising jet fuel prices.

According to the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), it has increased nearly fourfold this year, which is unsustainable.

"No airline in the world can sustain this kind of abrupt shock from such an astronomical jump in such a short period," the statement said.
