Israeli PM Lapid says border deal with Lebanon is historic

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said on Thursday that the agreement demarcating the maritime borders between Lebanon and Israel is a “historic achievement” and preserves Israel's security, while also "removes" the possibility of a conflict with Hezbollah.

Lapid added that he had invited Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of the opposition, to inform him of the border demarcation agreement.
