China evacuates more than 1,600 people from Iran and hundreds from Israel

A spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that the country has evacuated more than 1,600 people from Iran and hundreds from Israel as the conflict between the two nations intensifies.

Speaking at a regular press briefing, the spokesperson added that China is in communication with Iran, Israel, and Oman and is urging all parties to take immediate steps to de-escalate the escalating situation as quickly as possible.
