Chris Kerrigan was having coffee at a café in Portland, on the south-west coast of Victoria, on Monday when she noticed the tiny creature walking along the footpath. She said that a young boy who was with his mother at the same café jumped up to take a photo of the koala, and the koala seemed to oblige. Ms Kerrigan, who has only newly moved to the region from South Australia, has heard that it was not uncommon to see koalas on the outskirts of the town.
