Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour received on Friday from the
Chargé d'affaires at the Lebanese embassy in Indonesia, Joanna Azzi, a
list that contains the names of the Lebanese asylum seeking boat
victims.
The victims were identified following the DNA matching process that was carried out by Professor Fouad Ayoub in Jakarta.
Azzi added to Minister Mansour that the bodies of the 33 victims will be transported to Lebanon the soonest possible.

Omar Mahmoud, Rawad Omar Mahmoud, Talal al-Rai and his 2 children Nour
and Karim, Nour Talal al-Rai (mother of Talal Fahed al-Rai), Karim Talal
al-Rai, Maryam Yehia al-Ghamrawi, Sarab Mohammad Abdelhay, Ibtisam
Othman, Mohammad Khoder Jadid, bassel Ahmad al-Masri, Mahmoud Khaled
Nasser, Mohammad al-Hady, Manal Ali Hamza, Omar Mohammad Abbas, Abdallah
Omar Jawhar, Mostafa Ahmad Abdo, Jamil al-Rai, Khadija Saleh Al-Dali,
and Ali Mamdouh Awad.
On Friday September 26, dozens of Lebanese nationals hailing from the towns of Akkar were reported dead after a boat carrying them to Australia sank off the coast of Indonesia.
Preliminary information showed that an Iraqi national known as Abou Salah was in charge of transferring the persons to Indonesia before reaching Australia.
