REPORT: Lebanese citizen succumbs to wounds sustained in Baalbek attack
A Lebanese man has succumbed to his wounds after his wife was killed and his son injured during clashes between the Lebanese Armed Forces and a number of gunmen west of Baalbek.

Sobhi Fakhri, who was in critical condition, died at Dar al-Amal hospital at dawn on Monday.

His wife Nadimeh was killed and his son Romeo was injured on Saturday when gunmen from the al-Jaafar clan opened fire at the family in the town of Btedei.

Romeo is still being hospitalized at Dar al-Amal hospital.

The gunmen were fleeing raid operations implemented by the Lebanese army in the Dar al-Wasaa area when they entered the Fakhri residence with the intent of taking their vehicle.

The Fakhri family refused to meet the demand of the gunmen who then shot the couple and their son.
