REPORT: Six Lebanese truck drivers cross to Lebanon after Syria-Jordan border ordeal

Six Lebanese truck drivers crossed to Lebanon on Sunday after being stranded for four days along Syria-Jordan border.

The six truck drivers, who were stranded at Jordan’s Nasib crossing managed to cross the al-Masnaa border crossing in the eastern Bekaa Valley.

Earlier, the drivers urged the Lebanese government and Saudi authorities to provide a ferry or ship to help them return to Lebanon along with their trucks, after the Nasib border crossing was closed.

The drivers said they no longer have money to survive and that they are suffering a very difficult situation on the Saudi border.

At least 30 Lebanese truck drivers were stranded on Syria-Jordan border, in the free zone, after Syrian rebels controlled the Syrian side, which led Amman to close a frontier crossing.
