REPORT: Military Court closes case of Sheikh Nabil Rhim

The Military Court of Cassation reduced on Tuesday the jail term of Sheikh Nabil Rhim to four years and nine months, which is less time than he had served before his release.

The court noted that it was satisfied with the 42 months that Sheikh Nabil Rhim spent in jail from 2008 until 2013, which means that he does not need to go back to prison.

The Sheikh was detained on suspicions of assisting Fatah al-Islam armed men who fought the Lebanese army during the 2007 clashes in the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared in north Lebanon.
