A 36-year-old Indian man is claimed to have invited his daughter’s rapist to dinner at his house before brutally torturing him to death in Khajuri Khas, Delhi. The father actually cooked for the rapist, a 45-year-old married man, and then tied him to a chair after lunch before burning his genitals using heated tongs, according to the police.
He is now accused of choking the man to death, having plotted his murder ever since his daughter, 14, was sexually abused two month ago.
According to the article, the father confessed to the act as he went to the police, giving a detailed account of the brutal torture process he followed.
“Based on his statement, we sent a team to the spot and recovered the body. It has been sent for a post-mortem examination and his family has been informed,” the police said.
“A case of murder has been registered and the 36-year-old man was arrested.”
In a similar incident also in India several weeks ago, a man who attempted to rape a teenage girl was tried by a group of vigilantes who took him into a butcher’s shop and beat him with sticks for an hour, then cut off his genitals with a meat knife.
The people in India have been outraged by the recent wave of intolerable offenses against women in the country, with girls being raped, hung, and molested.
India is among the countries with the highest rate of sexual assault and crimes, with rape being the fourth most common crime against women. Several horrific rape cases in India received widespread media attention and triggered protests locally and internationally.
