Belgian PM Showered With Fries And Mayo By Activists

Charles Michel, the 38-year-old Belgian Prime Minister, has been attacked with french fries and sprayed with mayonnaise by anti-austerity activists.

“Michel out, austerity out,” shouted the four activists as the PM was starting his speech in the southern city of Namur, according to reporters.

French fries with mayonnaise are considered a Belgian specialty.

Security guards swiftly dealt with the demonstrators as Michel looked on and smiled in a mayonnaise-stained suit.

Following the incident, he resumed his speech and apologized for smelling of mayonnaise.
