8 deaths, 11 injured in fighting at Mexican cement plant
According to authorities and officials, fighting erupted early Wednesday between two groups of rival workers at a Mexican cement plant in the state of Hidalgo, killing at least eight people and injuring 11 others.
 
The death toll was announced by Hidalgo Gov. Omar Fayad in a statement condemning the violence at the industrial cement manufacturing plant of Ciudad Cooperative Cruz Azul, where two factions of employees have struggled for control of the site.
