Mikati meets Iraqi counterpart al-Kadhimi in New York-[REPORT]

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held on Wednesday a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Mustafa al-Kadhimi in New York in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib and Mikati diplomatic advisor ambassador Boutros Assaker.

During the meeting, al-Kadhimi reiterated Iraq’s readiness to support Lebanon in its crisis and to engage in all necessary International and regional contacts to solve all facets of Lebanon’s crisis.

He also thanked Lebanon for exempting Iraqis from entry visas to the country.

In turn, Mikati thanked al-Kadhimi for personally standing beside Lebanon and for Iraq’s constant support.
