Keep An Eye To The Sky And Watch The Orionid Meteor Shower Tonight!
The Orionid meteor shower will peak late tonight and will continue for the coming week.
 
"The Orionids are well known among stargazers because of all its individual shooting stars are fragments of the most famous comet, Halley's Comet," Slooh Astronomer Bob Berman said.
 
The comet leaves debris in its wake that strikes Earth’s atmosphere most fully around October 20-22, while Earth intersects the comet’s orbit, EarthSky reports.
 
The Orionids don’t really start to streak the nighttime sky until late evening, when the splendid constellation Orion ascends over the eastern horizon, according to EarthSky's Deborah Byrd.
 
Though they will come from the eastern horizon, they will streak across the entire sky, according to NASA.
