EU calls on Araby to participate in talks on Syria

A European Union official said that the Union’s foreign policy Chief Catherine Ashton called on the Arab League’s Secretary General Nabil el-Araby to participate in talks on the ways to increase pressure on the Syrian regime.

The official added that Ashton has urged el-Araby to attend the EU member States’ meeting of foreign ministers expected to be held on December 1st.
