Egypt’s military council hold talks with politicians
Egypt’s state television said on Tuesday that the dialogue session between the Higher Armed Forces Council and a few politicians had begun. The session will look into means to solve the political crisis taking the country by storm following the demonstrations that have been ongoing since Saturday.

The brief statement issued by the TV station did not mention which political parties would be taking part in the dialogue which the Muslim Brotherhood will, reportedly, participate in.

Protesters and security forces quarreled in the streets leading to the Interior Ministry building. Hundreds of security forces members responded to the stones pelted by protesters with teargas and rubber bullets.

Some other cities and provinces have convulsed with protests demanding an end to military rule and the handover of power to civilians.

In Ismailiya, according to medical personnel, two people were killed and a number injured during overnight demonstrations. Eye witnesses reported that around five thousand people encircled the building of the Alexandria Security Directorate while the police fired live ammunition.
