Guevara and Yafa, honeymooners in Syria

Guevara Kamel and Yafa al-Dakhil are a young couple who have been waiting for three years to tie the knot. With Guevara working in Saudia Arabia and Yafa living in the United States, the couple decided to have their wedding in Syria

They discussed the issue with several relatives and told their families that they were going on holidays in Turkey. Once there, they started looking for a way to cross the border with the assistance of the Ahrar ash-Sham battalion.

According to them, “Syrians don’t just need to be given weapons; they also need to be given joy."
