EU imposes fresh round of sanctions against Syria

EU Foreign Ministers decided on Thursday to impose a fresh round of economic sanctions against Syria targeting the finance, oil and gas sectors.

The EU’s tenth round of sanctions against Syria broadened their reach to eleven new companies and twelve individuals that were added to the list. The sanctions include freezing assets and preventing those targeted from acquiring visas.
