Prince Charles takes part in traditional Saudi dance of the swords whilst on visit

Britain's Prince Charles took part in a traditional Saudi Arabian dance of the swords on Tuesday, as part of a two day trip to the country.

Dressed in traditional robes and a keffiyeh - a headscarf - he joined members of the Saudi royal family to dance the Ardha - a traditional war dance in the country.

Hundreds of Saudi men and boys gathered for the event held at a sports hall in the capital Riyadh.

This is the Prince of Wales' tenth official visit to the country, and British officials have said it is hoped he will discuss the need for reconciliation in the region with Saudi officials, as well as their hopes for its future.

Charles is on a short four day trip to the Middle East, visiting Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
