S. korean condolence delegation crosses into the North
The widow of former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung and Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun crossed the heavily fortified border on Monday to pay their respects to late North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.

Seoul's Unification Ministry said on Monday that 90-year-old Lee Hee-ho and Hyun plan to visit Pyongyang's Kumsusan Memorial Palace where Kim's body is lying in state.

Lee's late husband Kim Dae-jung held a landmark summit with Kim Jong Il in 2000, and Hyun's late husband had ties to the North.South Korea has only allowed the delegations headed by Lee and Hyun to visit and offer condolences for Kim's death on December 17.North Korea has warned South Korea not to bar other groups to visit the North saying such an obstruction would worsen ties.
