Rare alignment of Mars, Earth and Sun could herald the 'End of Days'
Mars, Earth, and the Sun were all aligned on Tuesday night, in a rare 'opposition of the planets' that only occurs once every 778 days.

What made this event so significant is that it happened precisely a week before everyone on earth will see the first of four dark red 'blood moons', an extraordinary incident some Christians believe symbolizes the End of Days and the second coming of Christ.

The King James Bible predicts: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes," [Joel 2:31].

An extremely odd 'Tetrad' - four successive total 'blood-red' lunar eclipses each followed by six full moons - will begin next Tuesday and finish on September 28 2015, according to NASA.

The alignment had only occurred a handful of times in the last two thousand years but, remarkably, on each of the last three occasions it has coincided with a globally remarkable religious event.

John Hagee, a Christian pastor who has written a book on the Tetrad entitled 'Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change' said Tuesday night marked the dawn of a 'hugely significant event' for the world.

Mr Hagee added that "according to the Biblical prophecy, world history is about to change dramatically".

"NASA has confirmed that the Tetrad has only happened three times in more than 500 years - and that it's going to happen now," he said.
