Syrian Revolution General Commission casts doubt over Assad’s visit to Maaloula

The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) casted doubt on Monday over Syrian President Bashar Assad’s visit to Syria’s Maaloula, pointing out that Assad was wearing the same clothes that he wore 6 years ago during his visit to the ancient Christian town.

Spokesman of the SRGC, Amer Al-Qalamouni, said “Assad wearing the same suit that he was wearing in April 2008 is a suspicious matter,” stating that the “official story is fabricated, and the photos are from his first visit in 2008.”

Al-Qalamouni also stated that the Syrian regime aims at raising the morale of its supporters, stressing that it is also trying to convince the public opinion that it is still the dominant in Syria.
