Too early to say if Taliban behind French attack

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said on Tuesday it was too early to conclude whether the Afghan Taliban were behind last week's killing of four French troops by an Afghan soldier.

"It is too early to make claims of Taliban involvement in such incidents at this time," ISAF said on its official Twitter feed.

The Afghan Taliban said it recruited an Afghan National Army soldier to carry out the eastern Paktika province shootings, which prompted Paris to suspend all military operations in Afghanistan.
