US prosecutors say six Bosnian immigrants are accused of sending money and military equipment to terrorist fighters overseas, including the Islamic State group and al-Qaida in Iraq.
The allegations are in an indictment that was unsealed Friday in US District Court in St. Louis.
It says the defendants donated money themselves and in some cases collected funds from others and sent the donations overseas.
It says two of the defendants used some of the money to buy US military uniforms, firearms accessories, tactical gear and other equipment. The supplies were shipped to people in Turkey and Saudi Arabia who forwarded the supplies to terrorists.
Three defendants lived in the St. Louis area, one in Utica, New York, one in Schiller Park, Illinois and one in Rockford, Illinois.
