German Foreign Ministry summons Syrian ambassador
Germany’s Foreign Ministry announced Friday that it summoned the Syrian ambassador after the issuance of a U.N. investigators report accusing the Free Syrian Army of committing “most of” the Human Rights violations in Syria.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed the necessity to implement the peace plan of U.N.-Arab League envoy to Syria Kofi Annan fully and immediately.

The German government also called for the immediate release of Syrian opposition figures, including Mazen Darwich, winner of 2011 Roland Berger Human Dignity Award and his collaborators at the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression that he heads, and at the Roland Berger Foundation affiliated to the German Council of the same name.
