Samy Gemayel: “Lebanon’s decision is made in Beirut, not Tehran”

Lebanese MP Samy Gemayel criticized Iranian officials in a post on X, calling on them to “keep their hands off Lebanon.”

Gemayel said Lebanon is not an Iranian province and stressed that the country’s president does not seek permission from anyone to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty.

“The era of guardianship is over,” he wrote, adding that Lebanon’s decisions are made in Beirut, not in Tehran.
