Iraqi Prime Minister to halt parades of a military nature

Iraqi PM Nouri Al-Maliki has ordered a ban on parades of military nature on Monday. He also ordered the “non-exploitation” of religious ceremonies for paying out of the context visits to holy sites.

This as some Shiite political parties organize marches of a military character for the commemoration of the death of Imam Musa al-Kazzem, the seventh Imam in Shi'ite Islam, which culminates this weekend in the city of Al-Kazimiya in northern Baghdad.
