2012 Summer Olympics: James Bond at the Buckingham Palace
Queen Elizabeth II inaugurated the London 2012 Summer Olympics at the British capital’s Olympic Park.        

The ceremony went on as follows: James Bond seen at the Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth II jumping off a helicopter and Mr. Bean playing with the London Symphony Orchestra.    

15,000 volunteers participated in the organization of this huge artistic ceremony that embodied the real British identity. Nearly 80,000 spectators attended the ceremony and over one billion people worldwide watched the show.         

10,490 athletes will be participating indifferent competitions during the 16-day-long event. They will be competing to win 900 medals including 302 golden medals in 28 summer sports currently on the Olympic program.         

It is noteworthy that Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati accompanied the 10 Lebanese athletes participating in the games.
