3 Al-Qaeda militants killed by Yemeni Forces, terrorism plots foiled
Three Al-Qaeda members were killed by Yemeni forces on Tuesday foiling attempts for heavy militant operations in Aden, South Yemen.

Yemeni security forces raided a home according to AFP at dawn, killing the three aforementioned insurgents. Two booby-trapped vehicles and three suicide belts were subsequently found in the raid.            

One of those killed in the operation was a Somali national. A fourth Al-Qaeda suspect was arrested, the official added.             

Al-Qaeda took advantage of the weakness of Yemen's central government in 2011 during mass protests against now ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh to expand its presence in the east and south of the impoverished country.
