Feltman: the Syrian crisis has reached appalling levels of cruelty

The UN Under Secretary General for Political Affairs, Jeffrey Feltman considered on Tuesday that the Syrian crisis has reached appalling levels of cruelty and violence and Warned that such violence provides fertile ground for terrorism and criminal acts of all kinds.

At the UN Security Council, Feltman said that expectations of moving the Syrian crisis away from the Syrian land are turning into realities especially after the recent escalations on the Turkish-Syrian borders, as well as fire exchange in North Lebanon.

Feltman concluded that political solutions are the UN's priority regarding the Syrian crisis.
